The Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa, established as the College of Commerce in 1921, is one of the oldest and top ranked business schools in the United States. The College was the first academic division at the University of Iowa to be named for an alumnus, Henry B. Tippie, a 1949 accounting graduate from Belle Plaine, Iowa. The College is housed in the Pappajohn Business Building in Iowa City, named for Des Moines venture capitalist John Pappajohn, a 1952 graduate of the College. ==Academic programs== The Tippie College of Business offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees in one of six areas:〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://tippie.uiowa.edu/programs/ )〕 accounting, economics, finance, management and organizations, management information systems, and marketing. Students may also earn certificates in International Business, Entrepreneurship and Risk, Management and Insurance. The college also offers graduate programs, including a Master of Accountancy and Ph.D. degrees. The Tippie School of Management offers several MBA programs - Including the Full-time MBA Program; the MBA Program for Professionals and Managers (MBA-PM) that is offered in the Quad Cities, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines; and the two-year Executive MBA Program. Moreover, the college offers an International MBA Program in Hong Kong. The undergraduate program features a dedicated career services center, the Pomerantz Career Center, and The Frank Business Communications Center. Students participate in twenty undergraduate organizations, including Alpha Kappa Psi, Delta Sigma Pi, Financial Management Association, and the American Marketing Association.
